Antenatal and Well-Woman
Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30am to 3:30pm
This is a specialist clinic for pregnant women to attend for regular routine check-ups. Conducted by a female doctor at Al Khor Community Medical Centre.
The recommended frequency of appointments during pregnancy is as follows:
· Every 4 weeks until 28 weeks
· Every 2 weeks until 36 weeks
· Weekly until delivery
For complicated or high-risk pregnancies, the doctor will advise on the frequency of check-ups to suit you and your baby's needs.
The following vital signs are taken during each visit:
· Blood pressure
· Weight
· Urine
· Blood investigations will be conducted as necessary
· Ultrasound examinations as necessary
You will also be examined by one of the female doctors during which growth and pregnancy progress are monitored. It is here that you will be able to hear your baby's heartbeat.
Supplemental medicines (Iron and Folic Acid) are advised and prescribed by the doctors to take during the course of your pregnancy to prevent anemia.
Follow-up appointments are made at Reception.
At 28-32 weeks of pregnancy, pregnant women will be referred to the HMC (North Hospital) for further follow-up and subsequent delivery.

Sunday to Thursday 7:30am to 7:00pm
Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm
All patients who walk-in are accepted and seen by the doctor on duty.
